Jay has a strong interest in the finance and banking sector and has acquired a deep understanding of this space within a South African context. 

She co-authored, with her former professor Michelle Kelly-Louw, an academic article titled “Increasing Cashless Payments Using Debit Cards to Promote Financial Inclusion in South Africa” which has been published in the prestigious peer-reviewed law journal Tydskrif vir Hedendaagse Romeins- Hollandse Reg/ Journal of Contemporary Roman- Dutch Law.
